You Needed Me

This song is beautifully constructed. The melody and lyric is just perfectly match. No so heavy for people to understand and and not so light to endure. The message of this song is directly convey to the listener.I learn so much from this song. The title itself is "You Needed Me" is like saying that the other person aka our partner is depending on us but the reality is that, this song show how much we are depending on our partner. How much I depend on my partner. All along in the relationship, it's how we bargain, we tolerate and we give-and-take to make sure the relationship succeed.

Aku teringat cerita Azura versi terbaru ni. Antara lain dialog Zack kepada bapanya.. "Dia bukan sekadar isteri. Dialah kawan, dialah cikgu dan dia jugalah shabat baik." I was touched by the dialogue actually. Same goes in the part where the father asked Zack, 'if in one fine day there is a girl that is much perfect than Azura, then what you gonna do?' and Zack with confident saying that he still stick with Azura and by that time the father smashed him - "that is exactly what your grandfather told your great grandfather when he wanted to marry your grandma but after few years he met someone else and that's how I told your grandfather when I met your stepmother, and then after 3 months I met your mum."

I was stunned with the father's statement. Yeah, that's the reality bite. You can promise to the moon and back but then, it's not you that decide the destiny. No matter how much you try to be firm with your stand but if that's what GOD's will, nothing much we can do. But when it comes to that situation, at least we need to try. Don't just let go with the flow. If we really want the love and we love the person, we should fight for it. Fight if we think it's worth it.

Who are we actually to decide who we can fall in love with and who's cannot?! To be with the person and take him dearly to our heart as the number one, it's not easy. People say, look for the chemistry. Look is just a bonus point. But still, biarlah sedap mata sendiri memandang. Itu yang penting. Dari mata turun ke hati. That's why people came out with the term 'love at the first sight'.

All in all, we need someone. No matter how much we convinced ourselves and others that we can stand up alone, we still need someone. A shoulder to lay head on. An ear to listen. If not a lover, at least we have a best friend. Or a pet. We need 'em. Because in the end, as much I need them, they also need me.
